The Broadgate
Completed around 1270, the Broadgate represents the only remaining gate of the original 7 surrounding the town in medieval times. The impressive drum towers of the Broadgate still stand with a home built over the top of them during the 16th to 18th centuries. This view has been drawn from the southern side of the gate and includes The Wheatsheaf Inn prominently in the foreground.
